About the artist
Meet Mel Douglas. The hand behind the profiles.
Mel is a self-taught aircraft profile artist who originally trained as an aircraft engineer. Private flying experience and a wide range of engineering work, including CAD, gave him the technical foundation for the digital prints shown here.
Every study is developed with care for accuracy and, wherever possible, checked with engineers and aircrew. The work takes time because the details matter: each print brings together a finely researched profile with the aircraft’s story.
